This is going to be controversial but I’m gonna say it.
AI isn’t the greatest technology in existence. Nor is Web 3.0, the internet, even the wheel..
So dang it! What is then?
Our minds.
You can say it’s the idea, spark of inspiration, creativity that was conceived in our minds that led to the greatest inventions of all time.
But even though modern civilization has advanced tremendously, there’s a huge problem.
The software running in our minds is outdated.
It’s legacy technology.
Arguably, our brains are still the same brains as our predecessors thousands of years ago.
Ever have your fear-or-flight response kick in at work? When your boss asks to meet with you or during a feedback session?
It’s the same survival response that’s triggered when we’re in physical danger.
Such as encountering lions or bears.
The problem is that in the modern workplace, there are no lions or bears! But the same fear response kicks in.
So, what’s the solution?
The software needs to be updated.
There are 3 powerful ways to update your software:
1. Face the fears (social ones like public speaking) → incremental exposure to the fear reassures your brain and body that you’re not in any real danger
2. Working with a therapist → to find the root cause and work through these fears that perhaps originated in childhood
3. Meditation → to create conditions where the fear-or-flight response has less power and more inner calm
Doing so is a life-time investment that yields more happiness, less stress, and overall, a better quality of life.
It’s so worth it.
How often do you give your mindOS an update?
